THE YAMINON DEFENSE FUND
This site is devoted to raising funds to help in the recovery of the Yaminon.
The Yaminon or Northern Hairy-nosed Wombat is a critically endangered species. Depending on the source there are only between 65 and 110 of these cute and cuddly, well, they think they are, critters left in one small region of Australia, Epping Forest National Park in central Queensland. The park is closed to the public.
Why am I doing this? Why not? Seriously, there is no one else doing this solely for the Yaminon. It is included along with other animals on a couple web sites, but none specifically for the Yaminon.
Thus, I'm asking you to join me in helping raise funds and public awareness of the plight of the Yaminon. You can click for our downloadable flyer and spread the word by passing it on.
Please make all donations [we are non-profit], cheques or money orders, in US funds - please, out to The Yaminon Defense Fund and send it to
